I understand that some of your post is peculation. You said that up front. I have zero problem with it. So don't take this as an attack. I am just going to throw out one thing that makes me think "the inevitable leak" was intentional.

Of course the timing but that has been brought up a million times.

The thing that I would like you to ponder is the Chinese should have been trying to down play the severity if it indeed was an accidental leak.

Instead they lied about the the severity and even had actors playing dead people. When the dead people moved, at first I was like damn the chinese are incinerating people that are still alive for fear of spreading the disease. Evil.

When in fact they were just using scare tactics.

I don't know which if either scenario is right. Just something to consider.

Mandating a vaccine that didn’t really work at all in preventing covid so people could keep their job was unforgivable to me

The media never talked about the virus mutating. We were always a step behind each variant with each vaccine and booster that came out bc it was obsolete soon after thanks to the mutation

Biden flat out lied and said you won’t get Covid if you get the jab

Then they gaslit and said oh we didn’t make anyone get the jab against their will . Except you would be fired if you didn’t get the vaccine. The vaccine that worked so well you still got covid anyway and had to mask up around others who were also vaxxed .

I said it (many others did here as well) at the time that it was the most ridiculous bullshite ever and I’m being proven more correct every day.

I get it. People were sick. It sucked. People are always sick. We don’t stop everything in the world and change the way we live our lives because of it.

Ridiculous

I think it’s more interesting how that crowd was even allowed to protest out in public spaces. Coincidence?

My whole family had covid and came out fine. But I won't dismiss it as just another flu. I've been in the hospital a lot lately. And a lot of my nurses had family members die from it.

They did play it down ... until they couldn't.

Following the inevitable exposure, China's effort was to scare their own folks indoors, and to show the world how wonderful they were in addressing the pandemic, compared to the west.

How is faking videos of mass deaths downplaying it?

Or maybe I should ask what do they got out of playing it up?

My theory is that they didn't have a complete understanding of the virus - I remember a thread on here with the title "People are dropping dead in the streets in Wuhan" - people were scared shitless and the initial CDC/NIH guidelines were broadly based best practices for limiting exposure/spread of any respiratory virus. Somewhere between the start and crest, though, CDC/NIH failed to convy/explain that fact and started acting miffed that anyone would question them.

At the same time, both sides turned the whole damn thing into a political squabble, which ended all chances for reason and sanity. When there was a statewide mask mandate, for example, one of my crazy neighbors was going into stores to deliberately violate the mandate so that she could record the encounter with the store employees, where she berated them as sheeple, oppressors, and idiots, and then got kicked out of the store, all so she could post the video of it all to Facebook, acting like she was Mel Gibson in Braveheart or something, so she could bask in the adulation of her little echo chamber of assholes. It makes these people feel special.

Had a well-attended service for her in May of 2020. Nary a mask in the place.

Flew all around the country in August, bought a 911 in Colorado, drove it back with my daughter. (She's better in the corners than me)

You can be weak, or you can be strong.

You decide.

Biden was a real POS for letting that happen.

Me and my whole family tree ignored the frick out of it. It barely affected our day-to-day operations.

Just think of it as a "fork in the road."

That has to be typo because they discussed mutations incessantly, particularly after the vaccine came out.

I don't remember that, but it sounds like something he'd say.

Once I saw Democrat leaders out in the crowd holding hands and saying this is bigger than any safety hazard and saw Traneisha and Maliqua twerking in the middle of these rallies, I knew right then and there covid was all bs and refused to wear a mask or go with anything they mandated.

Every word of this. Who was that shite brick alleged doctor that kept pumping fear on tOT and Poli board? Can’t remember his name.

This honestly pisses me off the most. I still love bringing it up to former Covidiots just to piss them off. These people are forever memory banked.

It’s true and he berated the unvaxxed multiple times and said they were the cause of the virus not dying. Which was also 100% a lie.

Nope, any private jobs connected to the gov or received federal funds were forced. Had a few friends that worked for Shell and they were told point blank take it or be fired. Biden and the rest of the democrats pushed it hard on the private sector. Starve or get the jab, but hey they didn’t force you to take it.

Also, it showed how many doctors truly chased profit over health. So many made so much from the pandemic.

What doctors made all of this money? How many and how much are we talking about?
