SIAP but since I posted the original article with suspcions and criticisms, I'm closing this one out
HOLY frickING shite that last quoted part is an absolute lie. in the original thread the age factor is heavily discussed
journalism is a fricking disgrace

A 39-year-old New Orleans woman whose boyfriend blamed coronavirus for her untimely death, in a social media post that spread nationally in the fearful early days of the pandemic’s spread across the U.S., in fact died naturally of a weakened heart, a coroner’s official said Wednesday.
The cause of Natasha Ott’s death on March 20 is listed as “dilated cardiomyopathy with remote myocardial infarct,” Orleans Parish Coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna’s office said. A myocardial infarction is a heart attack.

It turns out that COVID-19 rarely strikes those in Ott's demographic -- although the young are not immune. In Louisiana, just 59 of nearly 3,000 deaths attributed to coronavirus have involved people younger than 40. More than two-thirds of those who have died were over 70.
But that wasn't known when Anderson posted his somber account of Ott's decline in her last days, from text messages he said he received from her before she died.

The media is the enemy of the people

There was a 400 pound "healthy" 16 year old that died as a lead story on yahoo. He showed up at the hospital with 15 times normal blood sugar which would have killed him regardless of covid. He counted as a healthy teenager covid death.

Read that story last night. That kid was far from healthy as portrayed by the article.

I guess you’ve changed your position on the COVID scam, I’m pretty sure you were fear mongering When this devastating disease wiped the majority of us out.

Sounds like he broke her heart.

I member this. Sad situation. Pathetic that the media tried to use it to push a fraudulent narrative.

Second wave is indeed “coming” , but really it’s fear mongering to get you primed to get whatever vaccine will eventually come out.

Don't complain. Now you and your family can sue China.

I remember the Nola.com article very well. Jessica Williams wrote that fear-mongering piece of shite they call journalism with the headline “This 39-year-old New Orleans woman tested for coronavirus. She died before getting her results”. In her article, she even states that results were still pending at that time of publication. But how quickly other outlets picked this up, and it was being shared countless time, and the majority of people only see and register “coronavirus” and “died” in the headline and start panicking. And this was near the very beginning of the shutdown, so it scared many younger adults who are not as woke as some of us.

The hard evidence shows that this virus is killing the old, the sick, and those who may have an unknown underlying condition.
Is it sad as frick when a previously thought of as healthy 40 year old person who is contributing positively to society dies? Yes.
Is it cause for people to freak out? No.
If you have a weak heart and don't know it, maybe you could die. If you have asthma (I'm in this one), maybe you could die. If you're clinically obese or diabetic, you will likely die. Don't live in fear over something that may not even be.
I just really hope this has been a wake up call for a lot of people. I know it has been for me. Since the end of April I'm down 25 pounds to 207 and have eaten almost exclusively foods that are good for my organs. I've had a few cheat days and a few drinks now and then, but it's mostly been vegetables/lean meat/fruits/healthy fats. It's a damn shame when a coronavirus takes out people because they couldn't stop themselves from over-eating.
