Is this an ironic melt, or do you just lack even a little self awareness?

Why do some spend so much time and effort trying to justify why we should not wear masks rather than trying it to see if it helps? No one has the definitive answers for this virus, but it sure seems something as relatively minor as wearing a mask should not be such an issue as it is. Is it really that big of an inconvenience or do we have too many in society that just feel it is their duty to argue/disagree with anything that is considered to be from those in a position of authority?

I mentioned that in my post. What is the metric that we are looking for where masks are no longer needed. Obviously Limit the spread is the goal. My point is at what point has the “spread been limited” to an acceptable level where now masks are no longer needed.

Every legal disclaimer tag on the masks people are wearing that says this product is not intended to be worn as PPE and is not intended to protect against any virus or disease

My problem with the masks are:

A.)A decent number of people wearing them don't cover their nose so unless they're literal mouth breathers (actually a decent chance of this), the masks are worthless

B.) People wearing masks are constantly touching them with their hands. Unless they are washing their hands every time before touching their masks, they're literally turning the masks into a petri dish that's getting all over their nose/mouth, essentially making the masks significantly more risky than not wearing them.

I get the point of wearing masks in a confined space like a ride share or elevator, but beyond that, I'm not sure how much they help.

They make the Karens feel safe, and that's all that matters.

Govt picking winners and losers again.

The Governor here in Ohio just enacted the "mandatory mask" for 7 counties. The rub is, it would be like mask must be worn in Orleans parish bars, restaurants etc, but not in Jefferson parish. Guess where folks will be going for dinner and drinks?

Actually I have no big issue with wearing a mask but I don’t want to be told to wear a mask forever. If the only logic is a mask is better than no mask to limit contagious diseases then we will be wearing masks until the end of time.

You'll be wearing a mask until a vaccine is developed, approved, and widely distributed across the country. You're looking at at least 12-18 months of mask wearing when in public buildings or businesses. It sucks but it is what it is. It's a public health emergency and we should all do whatever we can to come together to contain the impact until we have a treatment or vaccine.
