Mazda 6. I have a six speed. It may be the best vehicle I've ever owned.
We also have a Tacoma and a CRV in our stable. They aren't built as well.
Don't sleep on Mazda these days. ESPECIALLY the ones built in Japan.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

VW GLI 6 speed.
Fun as hell. You won’t win any drag races but it will put a smile on your face.

I have been repeatedly warned off of any current generation BMWs. Repair nightmares!
Good to know they are sticking with tradition for the current generation.
I would get another truck. Teenage boys of driving age are not well know for wanting to voluntarily surrender vehicles over the weekends. Letting him drive your new, or newish vehicle at that time is placing it in the peak dumbassery window for teenage boys.

I just sold my 2019 Audi A5 and bought a new Accord EX-L for my daily commute. I will miss the effortless acceleration and smooth drive of the Audi but it it anot a practical car to drive 80 miles round trip to my office when I am in town and not traveling via plane. They do not hold their value relative to mileage like a Honda or a Toyota. I had 29k miles on it in 16 months and I was hemorrhaging resale value every day I drove another 80 miles. Plus, I wasn’t crazy about the maintenance costs that were coming once my Audicare package ran out.
The Ex-L is roomy with leather interior , great trunk space, great electronics including apple carplay, etc..and msrp is $33k. Mine had $2k of extra stuff so it’s sticker $34,900. Only got a grand off sticker because they were offering 1.9% Honda financing.
While I loved the Audi, I think for a car I plan to drive 5-6 years at high mileage rate, I made a good choice. In 6 years, I would have had 150k-180k miles on the Audi and it wouldn’t have been worth much.
