Well, there you go. I thought Country Day was around $14K.
I think the Jesuit level with a 28 avg ACT score at $8500 a year will work just fine.

Of the top primary/elementary schools in the Greater New Orleans area 8 of the 10 are in Orleans Parish.

I don't trust that list. Metairie Academy is #22 on it.

Math and Reading Proficiency
#9 Einstein Charter: 83% and 73%
#22 Metairie Academy: 99% and 99%

Having 26% of the students not even proficient gets you ranked 13 spots higher?

Yeah, that does seem pretty strange.

Just based on the site criteria

Academics was the only A the school received.

Teachers ranking for the school was B+ (student, alumni, and parent surveys regarding teachers at the school.)

District ranked the school as B (which incorporates statistics and student, alumni, and parent surveys regarding all aspects of the district school experience, including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports, and fitness.)

Student Culture & Diversity Grade grade was a B+, (which incorporates statistics and student, alumni, and parent surveys regarding student culture and diversity at the school.)

Both of my sisters went to StM, and I think lower school was between $5k and $10k, and high school was between $20k and $24k. I just remember their pre-k being more expensive than me going to college.

I went to Country Day for a hot minute, and the food was fantastic

The only sweet spot to get a decent grade through high school public school on the South Shore and not have to worry about tests, lottery or other arcane admittance process based on where you work may be to live in Luling, or maybe Destrehan in St. Charles Parish.

Ben Frnaklin is a good school but very liberal. My little sis went there and came out a sjw.

The vast majority of very good schools are liberal, especially when you reach college, so that is a non-issue.

So you think the perceived value of teachers as A- compared to B+ is more valuable than a quarter of the students not reading on grade level compared to pretty much the whole school reading at least one grade level above? I know which teachers are doing a better job, despite the survey results.

And culture score matters? Jesuit got a C+, so probably shouldn't send my kids there.

Hell Einstein's performance scores aren't even at the state average, which is pathetic. No way a school with 23% mastery should be ranked 13 spots above a school with 89% mastery.

Belle Chasse has one of the top public school systems in the state - especially for younger ages
