You forgot that the average OT baw also lives in a multi-million dollar home, is 6'5 and is built like John Cena.

I weigh 180 at 5-9. I have a lot more muscle mass than average and I could still stand to lose a few pounds.

Tbh I'm surprised the numbers are that low for both sexes.

I don't believe this. As the average, 140 probably, 150 maybe.

Why is this surprising? Either you've been lied to by women in your life and think every non-obese woman is <140lbs.

I've been dating under-average women my entire life.

Why do you they paint the men's gain as the big story when the women have gained more?

I also find it odd that I weigh less than the average woman now.

Thought the same when I read the article. Given a population of 300+ million, it's also possible the average and median are basically the same.

One of the reasons I married my wife is because I noticed that her mother and aunts were all looking good in their 40s and 50s. I want those genes for my offspring.

If your wife is 85 pounds, you are married to a midget or someone with an extreme eating disorder

So the difference in average for men and women is only ~35lbs...

5' (she says she is 5' although probably is closer to 4'11") and you obviously are not a doctor.

I think 5'9 is probably an accurate average of all American males. If you only consider white American males the average is probably a bit taller.

I am in healthcare

5'0" 85 pounds is extremely underweight

Even on the outdated BMI scale that is very undernourished my friend

Awesome. Same here. She is certainly on the bottom of the ideal weight chart but your statements are overstatements.

My statements are not overstatements

I think your wife likely weighs 100 pounds

5'0" 100 pounds is still very tiny

5'0" 85 pounds is going to look very scary and dangerous

There's only one way to settle this

IMO most men think they're better at guessing a woman's weight than they really are. It seems like a lot of the men here have been lied to by women and still don't know it.

Agree. I think men tend to underestimate how much women weigh. Or believe lies. Hell, I can’t even estimate a woman’s weight within a 10-20 lb range. I’m always surprised by weight & clothing sizes.
