And the average man weighs 195 at 5'9 LINK

Seriously, how fat will we get before the averages start decreasing?

It's the really fat ones like TigerPox who throw the averages off.

The average American can't spell "weighs."

We are a country of dumb, fat people.

The millennials born between 1972 and 2000 are the fattest.

I'm 5'10" and anecdotally I'm around the middle height of my friend group. I'm certainly not considered short.

Do you think it's shorter than that? 5'9" seems about right. Except on the OT, where the minimum is 6'4.

It confuses me why they only publish averages.

I get that a lot of people don't understand median, but it seems much more useful to know.

I'd like to see that woman stat by age bracket. 18-35, for example, has got to be lower. Still pretty heavy. Just from the parents at my kids school I'd still say in the 130-140 range.

170 is just straight hogging.

Well the food industry at large cares little about the health of their products and the population at large has very little education or knowledge about nutrition.

It's a terrible combination. People don't know what is truly good for them, and food industries can use buzzwords and misleading advertising to make shitty food appear healthy to the uninformed.
