Worst natural disaster in history.

I know I wouldn't have wanted to be in his position. To think what he ended up going to jail for. Not trying to say he shouldn't, but he was an amatuer in politics playing on a professional level when it came to fricking over taxpayers.

I laugh at morons that trot out the "Uncle Tom" crack like it's a bad insult. I always tell them, Google the name Josiah Henson...then get back to me.

I wouldn't have wanted to be in his shoes either. It's just that after things settled down after Katrina, he was still acting like one of the dudes in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

Well, it was the costliest natural disaster in U.S. by far though.

They picked up our cans yesterday. Guess it was right on the list after Jefferson Davis but before Lee.

I saw on FB earlier this week that some dude is going around spray painting confederate's names over potholes so Mitch can remove them.

I think the same should be done on every derelict piece of property in the city.

There's not enough spray paint on the planet for that job.

Well, in New Orleans we now have 24-hour security at the abandoned Jazz Land, the Municipal Auditorium and around Mitch Landrieu. We like to spend a lot of money protecting things that don't work.

I'm pretty sure Mitch refused for the city to pay for the security at Jazzland

Domestically, probably the 1900 Galveston hurricane.

Globally, Katrina pales in comparison to the 2004 Boxing Day earthquake / tsunami.

In the US I believe Sandy is the worst and the flooding in Livingston,EBR, and around lafayette last August were more costly than Katrina.

Dammit. I was going to say top ten but I forgot all about the 1737 Calcutta cyclone.
