I'm waiting for someone to take a sledgehammer to this one.

Beware of men that build monuments of themselves.

I know people who are calling their outdoor trash receptacles as "Mitches."

Is that in New Orleans?
I thought we all got new trash cans.

Yes its in New Orleans. They gave out new trash cans and Mitch told the residents to put the old ones on the curb and he would pick them up. Well that was three or four months ago and these green garbage cans are all over the place because no one is picking them up. Thus this is the Landrieu Monument.

That's great.
I still have one of the old small ones too. But I actually use it for my backyard can. I would never deface it like that.

I've read that they didn't pick up the old ones in some neighborhoods.

Correct they have these green garbage cans waiting to picked up in all of the higher income areas of the city for several months now.

Correct. They have several on my block that need to be picked up. Plus we still have the road blocks laying on the corner from Mardi Gras. City still hasn't picked these in the 13th Ward.

Mitch will take these down or one of his flunkies like Cantrell.

Quick search on the Orleans Parish Assessor's office website will pull it up. Would post screenshot but don't know if its against the rules to post a full address on here

At this point they are just being proactive and have them out early for next year.
