Like I said, i have a skinny frame. Think tall and lanky. When I was 220 my face was very fat and I had a huge gut. Trust me, I was fricking fat.

Having said that I realize that people are built differently and will concede that some people can pull off 230 and not be fat.

I will never be fat again. You overweight people just don't know how good it feels to be at a normal weight! I can even put on my socks without straining now.....

evolution will eventually adapt and we'll all be 6-7'0 tall in a few centuries to counteract the fatness

The one in bold has been proven to be the most causative, by far.

Let me fill you in on a little secret. The burden to healthcare is not fat people. If they have insurance and pay their bills, that makes the doctors and hospitals happy and rich. The more you add to that, the better for everybody as far as premiums, cost, etc. If doctors are getting rich, more kids will want to be doctors and you will see an abundance of new doctors to take on the workload.

What adds a burden are the people who have no insurance or use Medicaid. Now, there's a good chance a lot of those people are the obese you're talking about. But they add a burden because they're going to the doctor and either they're not paying up or Medicaid is paying a fraction of what our insurance pays. So, to make up for the loss...you and I have to pay the difference on healthcare that goes up in cost.

I'm not saying there isn't a problem of obesity. It just drives me crazy when people completely miss the point on why healthcare costs so much. It makes no sense to point your finger at someone who goes to the doctor a lot but is paying the bills. That isn't the reason premiums go up. It's retarded to even think that's why.

I could care less if an adult is fat,but it does upset me when there children are overweight. Don't want to take care of yourself? Fine by me. Just give your kids a fighting chance.

One of my friends is an endocrinologist who specializes in children with Type 2 diabetes. A generation ago, it was thought impossible for children to be Type 2 diabetics. Now they have their own specialty.

Go look at a high school class yearbook or other large group photos from the 1950s or 60s. Tell me how many morbidly obese fatties you see. Sure, fatties have been around prior to the 1960s acting as a visual reminder that they have no self-control, but their numbers were few and far between.

The average WWII military inductee had a 32 inch waist and weighed 155 lbs. That's before any physical training.

That was during the depression, nobody had any food. Now we're the richest country in the world and you want us to live like a bunch of skinny savages? I think I'll stay healthy and plump and enjoy this lifestyle that so many have sacrificed for.
