it was gonna be more socialism either way, baw. we were voting on who was gonna do the less damage in the next four years. neither party wants to actually fix what's wrong.

Depends on your values. If you value a government that provides for their people, generally stays neutral, and uses tax dollars wisely on things like infrastructure, education, and healthcare, Scandinavia immediately comes to mind. Particularly Sweden. Not saying they don't have issues, but their quality of life is pretty outstanding. It's an entirely different culture and way of life, though. One I am sure many Americans, despite their life being improved in many ways, would have trouble adjusting.
If your values are individualism (I don't know why that has such a negative connotation) and you value work ethic, and truly believe that if you work hard and play your cards right you can achieve greatness, there is no better place than the USA. It's why so many people in many other countries, even ones like I described above, want to move here.
