Lawn darts were awesome. I was more injured as a child by horseshoes than lawn darts.

I had lawn darts, a BB gun, and was an idiot, and I'm still alive. Used to have BB gun wars and throw the lawn darts up and see who'd be the last one to not move

Lol, we used to war with the kids from the next block. We would each set up in our club houses and try and take the flag.

We used to be brused up pretty bad.
The rule was "No Benjamins, CO2 or single pump air guns only". My friend sent his brother to the hospital after shooting him with the Benjamin air gun. That thing is deadly to squirrels that a .22 Plus you can shoot them from the couch with ease.

Lawn darts we had a lot of fun with too, our most dangerous toys were, we all had three wheelers and dirt bikes before we were ten.

I was eight years old in 1979 when my crazy uncle gave me a 1917 DA model US Army Colt.

I think "engagement ring" belongs on that list although not technically a toy.

Shoot,i shot bb guns at everything. Played lawn darts. And used to have bottle rocket wars. We would cut the ends off of whiffle ball bats and use them as rocket launchers. Another fun thing to do was take a hammer to rolls of caps from a cap gun. Make your ears ring

I have a boxed Kaster Kit. Surprisingly, most of the cords are in decent shape (though I'd never try it out).

My dad told me they used to give him and other kids the mercury out of thermometers to play with in the 50s.
