That was old, old Metairie before they put the interstate in. Also, it was my first paper route in 1973.
People crack me up when they say North of the intestate isn't "Old Metry"
When I-10 went through, in the mid 60's, people's houses were bought up and they were relocated... Houses stretched from Metairie Road to Vets, there was no I-10.

I consider the east side of Bonnabel to Oaklawn, between Vets and I-10, to be Old Metairie.

His wife already started shite with Lakeside country club, there's a waiting list to join, when they told her she couldn't be accepted immediately, she played the race card...
Good lord. I thought you were going to say they were complaining about the lights or the noise that might be a problem 3 or 4 nights during the summer.
Maureen probably was ready to bitch slap her for playing the race card.

has Spanish Town but not Bocage, CCLA, UClub etc.
Apparently a lot of Republican state politicians have rentals in the gay district

Is this article created by AI? I've never even heard of most of these "neighborhoods"

Tchefuncte is top three easily. Sanctuary, Brady island, flower estates, Beau chene should all be on that list.

was assured by this very board that nobody would move to New Orleans or Baton Rouge.
These are people who came from money and grew up there usually, specifically in Nola. Most others have left. I’m one of the idiots still here

Shhh quiet. Both of those places are aweful and are overrun by crime and Antifa. Stay away
Yes the yearly rolling wars have gotten out of control. Oh wait they have sheriffs there so even that rarely happens.

well, the houses are assessed astronomically- but a lot of those people have been in that neighborhood for a very long time So they didn’t buy those houses for that much
Yeah exactly. The housing market is extremely inflated for multiple reasons and the local governments have taken it upon themselves to help inflate to get more money.
My house uptown Nola has doubled twice in the past few years

What the fck is “River Oaks, New Orleans”??
Maybe they meant Mandeville? Or I guess that’s considered Covington. Its entrance is past Covington country club at the end on the frontage road. Pretty large houses

Basically a swim club. Big pool, two tennis courts. Had a bar and food service. Good place for families to hang out during the summer.

The wealth that has and continues to move into Tchefuncte Country Club and Brady Island is crazy
It’s always been the two wealthiest neighborhoods on the Northshore. Until maybe sanctuary came along what 20-25 yrs ago?
Damn I feel really old typing that I remember mudding back there when they were tearing trees down and bringing in dirt to fill up the swamp.

Nothing on the Northshore. Hah!
