I enjoyed this too before I got married. I swear my wife just does it to frick with me, but she will just grab the tube in the middle and squeeze perpendicular to the flat crimp at the bottom. Drives me insane and I've voiced my concern to her about this and even demonstrated how it is supposed to be done. I even made her read the directions that says "for best results squeeze from the bottom of the tube and work your way up". Doesnt matter.
We just moved to a new house about 2 months ago, and the biggest reason that I wanted to buy it is because of the his and hers sinks in the master bath. So now, she will have her tube and I will have mine. Things are starting to look up for me baws.

My old roommate would cut open the toothpaste tube with a knife and gut it like a fish.
