It's because about 80% of people in that area are vaccinated, so of course most of cases they have are gonna be in vaccinated people. If 100% of people are vaccinated in an area then 100% of the cases of people from that area would be in vaccinated people.

I’ll focus on this one town rather than the over 160m fully vaccinated people. I’ll also ignore half the positives were asymptotic. Don’t tread on me!

I would expect the 20% who aren’t vaccinated to make up the vast majority of cases if a vaccine is 90% effective. Let’s use a 100 person sample size to make the math easier. 20 nonvaxxed, 80 vaxxed. 90% effective vaccine would mean 72 of the vaxxed are safe, so you’ve got 8 vaxxed people who can still get the virus versus 20 nonvaxxed people who can get the virus.

Yet somehow 75% of the positives in this area are nonvaxxed. It should be 8/28 or around 28% if the math you’re citing is right.

The data published Friday was based on 469 cases of Covid associated with multiple summer events and large public gatherings held in July in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, which encompasses Cape Cod and is just outside Martha’s Vineyard.

500 breakthrough covid cases out of 10,000 vaccinated people would mean the vaccine was 95% effective. If they are talking about 5,000 people and 500 got it then it was 90% effective.

No, it wouldn’t. It would mean it was 95% effective THAT WEEK. Your numbers are assuming 0 of the remaining 9,500 vaccinated ever contract the virus.

500 breakthrough covid cases out of 50,000 people would be bad at all.

If that happens each week, everybody in the vaxxed group would contract the virus inside of 2 years.

I would have to know how many people attended these multiple events/large festivals they are talking about.
500 non serious breakthrough covid cases out 50,000 vaccinated wouldn't be bad at all.

You thought every vaccine outside of Covids was 100% effective 20 minutes ago.

Customized product is a different animal IMO

Wtf? You are grasping at straws to justify hypocrisy.

If I go to a restaurant and order something without onions that normally comes with onions that is a customized product as well.

So by your logic you can discriminate against people who order on menu but anyone who customized their order is protected?

Where do you people come up with this stuff?

Uh, no! No it's not. Mass vaccination has caused the delta and lambda variants as predicted.

Perhaps, a restaurant that excludes vaccinated people would be safer to all involved.

Variants were predicted the moment this virus began infecting people. It's what naturally happens.

Regardless, masks in restaurants are ridiculous. Make sure you wear your mask walking to the table. Now you can take them off and speak and guffaw at your leisure. Silly.

The answer is to eat where the rules are okay with you.

It doesn’t matter whether you or I agree with the restaurant’s restrictions.

Your posts are a buffet of calling people stupid and using the term “strawman”. I’m not sure if you just learned the word or what but frick do you like to use it more than anybody else on the site.

So change your sig to whatever you want, nobody gives a shite about you.
