You and wife get to hang out at home today while that guy starts a hopefully long stint in the care of the state.

Sounds like it worked out alright to me, happy new year to you and yours.

My neighbor was a K-9 deputy. He said those dogs will frick you up. The Shepards they use can get up over 100 lbs. and if they hit you at full speed, no man is staying upright.

Did a ride along with an old neighbor who was a sheriff. We met up with his shift partner who was a K9 officer and he showed me some pics of a dude they recently got called to handle. The dog ripped this dude’s arm apart. He had a Belgian malinois that was mean AF.

They will absolutely frick you up. No matter how fast or strong you are they are faster and stronger. And whenever they decide they are going to frick you up a bullet is about all that's stopping them.

They are also absolutely georgus.

I was watching an early episode of Cops (80s or early 90s?), LAPD had a suspect cornered with his back against fence. About 5 offices surrounded him and he beat the taste out of their mouths (with martial arts), but when the K9 officer arrived, it was all over.

Looks like Steven bonded out on Dec 14, 2024 for marijuana, disturbing the peace, and resisting charges. Wonder if they kept a spot warm for him?

How the hell was there an attempted car jacking he left with your truck! Or was that another offense he did at another time?

Yeah I wasn’t too sure about how you can get attempted and actual on the same act. Idk.

He is listed on Kaliste Saloom Rd. 6'0", 135 lbs.

Thankfully he wasn’t a big guy. Don’t get me wrong, he popped the shite out of me but thankfully he wasn’t bigger and I was able to recover pretty much immediately and keep fighting. I was getting the better of him until he reached for the perceived weapon and I bailed. Just didn’t seem worth it to kick his arse but risk getting shot or stabbed.

That's probably what these new charges will look like, too, once he's allowed to plea down like all the other bad guys now.

Stacking charges maybe & I am ok with that. I guess the bike ploy was attempted then it escalated to the fight & he got your truck? Who knows. I am glad you and your wife are safe what if you had your gun?

A 6-foot-0, 135-pound guy can be a lot stronger than appears if he's hopped up on controlled substances

Yeah and it really wasn’t the “fight” that was the scary part. Like I said, once he had to actually fight me, he couldn’t hit me. Needed to catch me off guard. It was the potential weapon pull that spooked me because 135 lbs can shoot you just like 250 lbs can.

Glad you’re ok, but tell people.

I agree 100% since I also live/work in Lafayette. OP giving the exact intersection location will help prevent others from being taken advantage of by this thug or his friends.
