Me too. I would hate to be stuck in the middle eastern nation of England right now.

I wanted to travel back and smell the air but I'm not committed yet.

Mine were cast out of Canada, but I'd say that worked out in the long run.

My ancestor, on my fathers side, came to 'Merica in the early 1700s from Bavaria(southern Germany).

Loaded up wife and 8 kids, sailed from Rotterdam to the port of Philadelphia.

Worked as an indentured servant for years then moved to North Carolina.

All of his sons fought in the American Revolution war. All made it through that war.

After the war, my ancestor rafted down the Mississippi River with wife & kids.
Received a land grant from the Spanish in the Natchez area.
His sons and daughters dispersed throughout the south. He set a successful business in SELA.

They endured hardship, disease, famine, heartbreak but still made it through to live the American dream.

I still get chills when I hear this song.

Love this miracle called America.

Surname ancestor came over on a boat from Groningen, Holland. His son married a Boudreaux whose ancestors came over on the 7 ships. Mom’s side is absolutely wild, with too many immigrants to count, including her.
