Real nice.

I ultimately moved my FXD on because I need a date on my watch but I do miss that one.

The BB Pro has become the daily. My love for it has never faded.

Recently picked up this SKX009 after watching All Is Lost with Robert Redford. It actually came in on the day he passed ??
I’ve been wanting to get a SKX back in the collection after letting a lady borrow my 007 back in my LSU days and never seeing it again. The fading on the Pepsi bezel is pretty rad in person and the red “Diver’s 200m” has degraded to yellow. Given how dark the dial is, this may be a 007 that someone stuck a 009 bezel on. It’s been fun throwing it on different straps:

Why is AP considered part of the holy trinity? They make hideously garish watches. For that matter, Patek's signature Nautilus doesn't do anything for me. IYAM Breguet has a better claim than either of those, especially over AP.

Wears like a 160gram 40mm steel sports watch. Anyone saying otherwise online hasn't tried it on and surely hasn't owned it.

Wears great.

I have been wearing my old timex expedition field watch lately.

Once my marathon needs service again, I think I'll be going back to basic simple quartz field watches.

The Alpinist is such a great Fall watch, the green with a leather strap just works.

Some of the new GMT refs are pretty interesting but haven’t been able to see one in person

BB Pro is a great one. I have a soft spot for GMT watches (you can see one of mine in the background pic of my FXD.

Only quarrel I have with the Alpinist is the extra crown and I don't care for crowns that aren't at 3 or 9 o'clock (purely a matter of personal taste). I'm a big fan of the Baby Alpinist with the textured dial.

For those interested Luke Combs was wearing a ice blue Platona during his cameo performance on Gameday this AM. I don't really follow contemporary country music, but know Luke Combs is a big watch guy. He has a funny story about initially getting snubbed in I believe Wempe in NYC before playing at MSG for the fiest time.

Here are a couple additions to my vintage gold watch collection

10k gold filled Bulova

Paid $18

14k gold Gruen, paid $400 plus getting it serviced right now, it was only taking 30 secs for the second hand to go around 1x

Plus of course, my 14k GP, which I basically got for free
