Text war with a former boss

A former boss of mine was fired a few years ago and I eventually took his place. We’ve maintained a ‘text’ friendship ever since.
Granted the company is pretty poorly managed from the top executives so there’s a lot to bitch about. That’s pretty much what our relationship centers around is bitching about the company.
I’ve worked my arse off to get my group in a better place so I’ve eventually got tired of the constant bitching when the mirror is right there and went off to the guy last night.
I had a few drinks and basically let him know he was part of the problem and worthless. Even said that while he was poorly managed, it wasn’t an excuse to sit around doing nothing while pointing fingers. Half of my problems was trying to put shite in place that he could’ve easily done years ago while sitting on his arse.
Question: do I try and make amends from the drunk texting while I believe what I said or just say f*** it. I’ll prob never run into this clown again? I feel bad today to insult someone that thinks you’re a friend but honestly sorta don’t care anymore either.
