Per the US Government website, adjusted per capita, black people are charged with hate crimes more than any other race, but don't let those pesky facts get in the way.

But are they convicted?

Still hasn't proven this. He added the "per capita" after being called out.

That doesn't even matter for this argument. The percentages posted don't either. The whole argument was kicked off when someone said that black people commit crimes that should be considered hate crimes often but don't catch the hate crime charge. We have had plenty of threads with videos and stories of the same. The link posted does nothing to disprove what started this whole argument

So you've reached out the blatant lie portion of your routine I see.

Here let me prove you wrong real quick.

Here's my very 1st post on the hate crime topic(2nd post in the thread but 1st directly on the subject):

Rog, why are you lying and stating that I added "per capita" after I got called out when "adjusted per capita" is added in my 1st post on the hate crime topic?

Why are you lying? On page 2 if you'd like to see where you lied.

Not all white people commit hate crimes and not all black people commit hate crimes. So why would we use the entire population?

It’s like the cop shootings. Since covid I have had zero interactions with police. So why would I be included in police shooting statistics? My chance of being shot by the police over the past 2 years has been zero. Same with a lot of people.

You're right, but this logic also applies when people say "13% of the population commits 50% of violent crime". It basically lumps the whole group together.

Yea, just being 100% honest, I don't at all understand his overriding point.

That's why I used the violent crime data hoping to get a better understanding. If "per capita is useless" as the poster stated, then how would you handle the violent crime data that stated from a raw #, black and white people commit roughly around the same amount of violent crimes. If we don't use per capita, how do we know or determine if that means the problem is equal amongst each race or how do we determine that it's a much bigger issue with black people?

This.

I have argued repeatedly that the 13% notation is disingenuous.

It is probably 1%.

Still a hIgh number in terms of total people, but
not 13%.

Throw in repeat offenders and it may be lower.

I mean, how many times have we seen “rap sheets” that are a mile long?

Seven pages of people arguing in circles. Never change, OT, never change. BTW - I really do not GAS about who's arguing what.

shel311 - You should win a persistence award or a dumbass award (not sure yet) for trying this hard to convince people with no reading comprehension that they actually agree with you.

A very small percentage of the population commits a major percentage of violent crime. Probably less than 1% of the country.

The violent crime problem can be fixed. As much as I loathe Joe Biden, the 94 crime bill actually worked.

Hate crimes create a victim privilege. I have seen many videos on the OT where a black man has clearly attacked a white or asian person senselessly and under circumstances where a "hate crime" likely occurred. But, they aren very rarely prosecuted that way.

Race is ALWAYS relevant in the very rare instance a black person is violently attacked or murdered by a white person these days, but it is somehow NEVER relevant in the much more common scenario when a black person targets and violently attacks a white person or Asian. Glaring double standards at play here.

They should be charged with WAY more hate crimes than they are. But they are committing the overwhelming majority of violent crimes in general, so they should be charged with more hate crimes than any other demographic. We all know for every one reported "hate crime" they commit, there are many more that should be charged as "hate crimes" but are not. If you disagree, you're just a liar. It's extremely one-sided these days as far as white on black violence versus black on white violence. Anyone denying that is the same, a liar. Or a moron.

With all the other violent crimes they commit that should be charged as hate crimes and are not, it's clear black people are some hateful MFers.
