It's amazing that a person this dumb ever got in position to be a manager, much less a CEO. In my fraud class in college, we read about schemes 1000x more complicated/likely to succeed that were perpetrated by gas station cashiers.

If he's working for any company worth a damn, it would be pretty amazing if he's pulling this off with salemen. Technically he has no authority to purchase and there are a metric shitton of ethics violations going on with that.

That's pretty standard in the oilfield. I've seen people from mom & pops to majors entertained like that.

All the majors have very strict rules against some employees taking gifts. I knew some guys that worked for Chevron back when they used to still be in New Orleans and they were limited on even the number of cups of coffee they were allowed to have bought for them from vendors.

I personally signed a 100k check to a ranch in south Texas for half a dozen chervon guys deer. They do have rules but not everyone follows them.

It was out of control for a while, hence the reason they had to make the rules. Just like everything else, they found loopholes and just started to not give a shite.
When I used to be in sales the douche bags with their hands out were disgusting. Talk about the lowest piece of scum in the industry. It was borderline bribery and in some cases blackmail.
