It seems that a lot of that has been cleaned up.
Some guys from Marathon got busted not long ago in some kind of land deal they were being bribed with.

The purchasing people are kept pretty in check for this kind of stuff. There are plenty of field guys who are decision makers who get away crap though

All the majors have very strict rules against some employees taking gifts. I knew some guys that worked for Chevron back when they used to still be in New Orleans and they were limited on even the number of cups of coffee they were allowed to have bought for them from vendors.

I use to work for a company in the same industry and when I first started working there vendors were giving all kind of shite to people. Everything from suite tickets at away Saints games going to them in private jets to trips to strip clubs for "lunch". Then all of a sudden they cracked down on it because people were "misleading" vendors in order to get "gifts".

Some Apache guys in Lafayette almost went to jail a few years ago. I’m not even sure if a few of them didn’t.

Come to think of it there are quite a few other baws in Laffayette that are still in hot water and will probably end up going to jail. You Laffy baws know who I’m talking about.
