Louisiana has the same resources as Texas.

The difference is demographics, and the two are governed in completely different ways. Louisiana should be like Texas, but we’re starting to fall behind Mississippi instead.

Yet all I hear from BetoBots in this state is how terrible education is in this state.

Perhaps having to educate a shite ton of illegals impacts that???

FIFY. Probably based on a study funded by guess what state.

IMO that is not the reason. It is the ISD model where the districts are run independently of the city government. I mean just look at BR.

Yeah, clearly that's the only way it could be possible.

Yes, the ISD system is the GOAT governing system. Louisiana should've gone to that decades ago.

Texas is awesome, but these "Texas has more of ..." threads are a bit misleading.

Texas is fricking huge and has more of everything. Good and bad.

Yes, but it also depends on where you look. North Texas suburbs have a lot of incredible schools. But then Texas is only 37th in the nation in education according to US News. 33rd for Pre K to 12.

The good schools are really good, but there’s obviously a lot of horrendous ones to bring down the avaerage.

Louisiana should let itsrlf be absorbed by Texas, taxed like Texas and be run by Texans. Schools, roads and infrastructure 10x better in every way.
