Video of a 9-year-old boy knocking on the front door and cracking a whip on the front porch of a Black family's Kaufman County home is making the rounds on social media.
Footage from Carissa and Dezerrea Nash's doorbell camera shows the boy, who is white, walking up and pounding on the front door three times. The child can then be seen cracking the whip twice and standing back waiting for someone to open the door. According to the couple, the boy was searching for their 9-year-old daughter.
According to the couple, the 9-year-old boy had also scratched Carissa's Audi and they called the police but were told by authorities that no charges could be filed because of the child's age.
Carissa Nash said when her husband got home two hours later, they went to Brunson's home to address the damage to their car. Brunson answered the door with a gun.
Cellphone video captured by Carissa shows Dezerrea talking to Brunson and asking him to look at the Ring video of what transpired at their home, but Brunson told them to leave his property. An argument ensued and Brunson reached for his gun, which can be heard going off.
Kaufman County Constable Jason Johnson said Brunson accidentally discharged the gun when he was picking it up from the floor.
"He had a child standing behind and when it went off it could have seriously injured that child or taken that child's life or somebody else's," said Johnson.
Brunson was arrested on a felony charge of deadly conduct for reckless discharge of a firearm. He has since bonded out of jail.

Saw that on tik tok earlier. Pretty sad.

It’s stories like this that make me wonder how 7 billion people can exist in this world and we can somehow manage to survive without destroying each other.
Thank god people can get out their frustration on the internet.

What was that kid so mad about?

Probably his dad being such a shitty parent.

quote:He had previously scratched the family’s car. The family called the police. The police told them to talk to the boys father to exchange insurance information. The boy came to their house with a whip. Left. The family went to the boy’s house. The father of the boy answered the door with a gun. Asked them to leave. Refused to look at their video. Somehow the gun went off. Didn’t hit anyone. The father is arrested.

No mention of why the boy scratched their car or why they feel it’s racially motivated. I assume because of the whip.
Regardless , it’s fricking insane. Somebody in that neighborhood is going to get killed

I think it’s safe to say even if it wasn’t racially motivated, there was some racist tones to this incident

The family is definitely saying it’s racially motivated. If it was, it’s pretty sick.
I do want to know more to the story. Like why the kid scratched their car. Was it a neighborhood dispute? If so, why? Why did the family not leave when told to do so after a gun was put on them? They should have left and called the police. If the gun accidentally went off, why was the father arrested? It’s Texas. Isn’t there a castle law? Does either family have a history of racism? Does the boy? Why was he looking to use the whip on the daughter?
I would like to know more. But regardless, it’s amazing that this didn’t end with someone getting seriously hurt.
It happens. Neighborhood disputes can get bad.

Scratched the Audi.
If i had proof, i would be relentless in collecting. Parents are responsible for the kid's actions. There is very little Criminal action, but Civil Law, they'd pay.

He was a 9 year old child.
I say this because I’ve seen people get up in arms about things that turned out to be a different situation than what they thought.
Years back in McKinney, TX when that cop tackled the girl, this board went insane calling the entire town a racist cesspool.
Well, I lived n McKinney for 17 years and it’s just a normal fricking town. I saw people on here posting complete lies about white supremacists, etc. It was happening on Twitter and Reddit too.
I’m just saying asking questions about details first matters.

The cynic in me is screaming "TikTok stunt" they tricked the 9 year old into participating in but you never know

The Nashes, who have made multiple somewhat inconsistent social media posts about why the boy was at their door, say it all started because the upset boy claimed he got into a fight with the couple’s 13-year-old son — although another narrative says it was their 9-year-old daughter — while he was coming home from school.
The couple contends it would have been impossible for the son to be involved because the two minors attend separate schools.
“The kid claimed as he was walking home and was jumped by our son,” Dee Nash said online. “Our son is 13 years old. He gets out of school two hours after the 9-year-old gets out of school. So there’s no way our son could have touched or even seen this 9-year-old kid.”
The Nashes also say this is not the first incident they’ve encountered with this same boy, stating the boy has claimed that their son assaulted him before. The father says he has social media posts dating back to 2019 regarding the blond child.
Dee and Carissa Nash both took to Instagram with videos offering an account of what precipitated Thursday’s events, saying the white boy and their 9-year-old daughter, Jordan, had tussled earlier that day.
“We spoke with a group of kids that walk home with a 9-year-old, as well as my daughter, and the entire group,” the father shared. “The 9-year-old kid was saying rude things to the group of kids.”
Carissa Nash said the boy shouted out racial slurs to the other kids.
Other Black children allegedly got into an altercation with the child, and he took his skateboard and started hitting the others around him. He struck one girl and her brother beat him up.
Carissa said, “There was a brother and he got in there and said, ‘I had to defend my sister. He was hitting my sister.’”
The couple claims what happened next was the 9-year-old hit the Nashes’ daughter, Jordan Nash, and she defended herself.
The child was furious that the girl was fighting back. To make matters worse, while she was fighting the child, another boy pushed him from the back into some water. When he got up, the first person he saw was Jordan and he viciously attacked her.
Jordan came home and told Carissa what the entire ordeal was. While they were talking the boy came to the door.

That whole damn thing is hard to understand. I never can tell which child is which.
If the whole story is true, then I can only imagine what his parents do in their own home and how they raise the child

This sounds like one or a combination of the boy likes the girl and/or a group of kids harassed the white kid, who'd finally had enough of their shite. And unless the black family's son had been at home the whole time two hours earlier every single day, yes it's possible for him to be around and harass the white boy.
Sounds like some shite the parents need to sit down and resolve their kids' drama over. But whip boy's parents either are too immature to do that or girl's parents are full of ish, and whip boy's parents have decided it's not worth arguing over.
Definitely sounds like more to the story.

Do you really think either incident happens if they were white? Not everything is racially motivated but this one sure seems to tick quite a few boxes.
