Born and raised in Louisiana..
Every Louisianaian will tell you:
the people are better, the food is better, way of life is better, women are better, no city as good as NOLA, even the air is better.

Yall constantly defend this tradition specifically like your lives depend on it. Never met 1 single Aggie that said “yeah I love our traditions but the yell leaders isn’t that cool”

So if we renounce the yell leaders, random internet people will think we're cool? Why do you care if Aggies like our own traditions? I like the yell leaders. Who gives a shite?

Well since you ask.. no.. way more reasons everyone laughs at y’all than that.. keep them …they are part of your identity….

This isn’t just random internet people. This is everyone. We all mock and laugh at these clowns yet yall continue to double down like it’s cool. Just give it up.
A&m could go on and win the next 5 championships and we’d still be mocking the yell leaders. Pretty much all the other traditions aren’t really anything unusual or weird. Some are cool. But it always comes back to the yell leaders

I think I’d rather live in midland than Houston at this stage of my life

The only way that I could justify moving to LA from TX would be to buy land cheaper to retire on.
This is a pretty compelling reason IMO. Texas land is actually more expensive than Louisiana or Mississippi which is kinda ironic when you think about how the state was settled.

Why do people act like drive thru daiquiris are only in Louisiana? We have them here too…

If you have the highest percentage of native born people that just means that very few people from other states wanna live there lol.

And my dad thought the yell leaders were horrible - there are Aggies that don’t necessarily like them, but accept it as tradition.

Houston is literally a top food destination in the country. BBQ is better, tex mex. I’m willing to bet anything besides seafood and Cajun is better in Texas. With that said, it would be nice having more options than just Popeyes or 1 other restaurant in town when I want red beans and rice.

Yeah I was about to say. It’s not the internet, you notice Aggies in real life. The class rings I knew about before I joined td. Everyone I meet from tamu wears theirs.
Then when they joined the conference the gay was on full display when they would come down to br and do like a yell practice the night before. We weren’t making fun of you on the internet. We were legit like wtf is this shite in real time.
Everyone thinks they are weird.

Alabama’s tradition of singing Dixieland delight is fricking badass. Almost makes me wish I was a bama fan.
Aggy traditions by comparison are lame

I lived in LA my entire life. 30 years.
Moved to Midlothian, TX a little over a month ago and can’t understand why I didn’t make the move sooner.

It honestly depends on where you’re from in Louisiana. If you’re going from Leesville to DFW that’s a massive difference.
If you’re from one of the few good pockets in LA like Lafayette or Mandeville, I don’t see why anyone would move if the career path was equal.

This is America so don’t care about best Mexican. Louisiana beats Texas for food. Maybe but steak, but everything else Lee.
