can now fart at other cars with the speaker

which trim package offers this feature ?

Lol. Most of the Teslas have the pedestrian speaker. Tesla pushed a software update about a month ago called Boombox allowing you to make different noises with the horn (la cucucara, fart, dj, applause), and while it drives (ice cream man or Polynesian elevator music, and more)

I don’t own one but I do like them. Screw the whole green house climate change BS they are cat quick and self driving. On a long trip that would be great
This

I don't care at all about saving the environment when I purchase a car, but they're cool as shite to own and make driving really fun and enjoyable.

But I took my Model S on a long road trip and it was not fun. It took much longer to charge (even with the Tesla network) and the range was poor when driving 75 mph. My round trip should have taken me 13 hours and instead it was over 18 hours.
How long ago was this? Wondering why it took so long.

We do a ski vacation every year. 12 hours, the charging adds 1.5 to the trip, nowhere near the 5 hours for you.

I'm fine with it as I have 2 young ish boys, so we'd have to stop 2-3 times for gas with one of those being a stop to eat so it's probably 45-60 minutes of stops in a gas vehicle for me, so I feel like it's only adding 30-45 minutes to my trip comparably, which isn't bad.

Best part of having a Tesla is proving you care so much about the environment, that you paid $100K just to virtue signal about it to everyone else!!!

People that think everyone who owns a Tesla owns a $100k car are funny.

There are people my wife work with who would jokingly talk about how rich she is when she'd drive my car to work not knowing that theri Jeep Wranglers and big SUVs all cost more than the Tesla she drove to work.

Because that’s something that is often utilized.

Pretty sure it's only in New Teslas bought after a certain date some time kn early to mid 2019.

I got mine in March if 2019, and mine does not have the outside speaker for this capability.

Multiple reasons:
1. My S has the smaller battery.
2. I was a novice on trip planning. I just got in it and went.
3. It was winter.

I have gotten better at the planning part so I spend far less time at the chargers but it still bugs me. I would rather drive my regular gas drinking car.

There is but the Market Value is subjective where market cap isn’t. When someone ask about market value, they are asking about market cap.

Tesla’s market cap is over $800b. I would need to look but I think it’s bigger than all other car companies combined.

It does. It’s still my favorite car for local driving and any one way trip under a couple hours each way.

I just love the lack of maintenance.

You can go from roughly 10-20% to 80-90% in 15-20 minutes. Not long at all.

If on a road trip, you generally don't need to fully charge to be able to get to the next super charger, so you don't have too fully charge. This is important because your charge will fly up to about 80% but slows considerably when it tops off to protect the battery.

Long story short, you can go 20-80% in 15-20 minutes but could take 30-40 minutes to go 20-100%, give or take.

It’s my favorite car to drive as well and I’ve owned a Mustang, BMW, and Mercedes. I will say from a handling perspective, my 335 was better. But from take off, to smart car features, to no maintenance I love my M3

500 miles is what I want before I get electric, the stops are annoying for someone who likes to power through trips. Stop as little and for as short as possible.

You can see stops by car type on the Tesla website for any trip you want for planning.

LINK

The big downside is right to repair. Tesla sucks at repair times and getting parts is hard and if you do certain repairs yourself, they turn off the ability to supercharge.

How much has your monthly electric bill gone up from the regular charging? How much money to use a charging station?

I live in Alabama and they have a deal where you can send in proof of EV ownership and they reduce your power costs from 9 pm to 5 am daily. So I get all power cheaper between those hours. That is when I usually run my a/c the hardest and use the most power. We also started washing and drying our clothes after 9 pm. Another important factor is that I drive the Tesla about 10,000 miles per year.

With the Tesla charging, and other changes, our power bill increased (worst case) by $21.00 a month. (If I never use the supercharger).

Free for the lifetime of the car. I bought a car that had that option transferable to the new owner.
