It happened before in Tennessee on 81 north of Chattanooga and the teenagers were caught.
NOLA variation: on one of the ramps up onto I-10 near Charity Hospital cars backed up waiting to go onto the Interstate were targeted with bricks through their windshields. That was stopped by a police car parked obviously. I don't know if those perps were ever caught.

Last year I was driving around Pine Bluff on the interstate (530 I think) and there is a construction section where the concrete pop outs are so bad that have to one lane it back and forth between both lanes (sorry if that's confusing). We were following another work truck at a normal driving distance when suddenly the back tire of the truck in front of us kicked up one of the pop outs (at a joint) about the same size in the picture. It was about eye level when it popped out and finally hit the truck in the passenger head light, crashing out through the side of the wheel well. It scared the hell out of us.

I was driving through Jackson MS a few years ago and someone took a potshot at me from an overpass. The bullet struck the roof right at the edge of the windshield just above my head. The police were very nonchalant about it all, which tells me a lot about Jackson..

my dad was driving through Texas and some kids standing on an overpass dropped a handful of BB's as he passed under. Obviously it didn't kill him, but it put about 30 star cracks in his windshield. WTF is wrong with people?

North of Knoxville. 81 is near Knoxville and goes up to Johnson City. 75 is between Chatt and Knox.
81 has weird shite happen all the time. That family was killed at the rest stop right before you get on 81 on 40. They had those people shooting at cars on 81 not too long ago as well.

i remember when i was a kid walking down the road with my step brother to go to the video store, some kids threw a chunk of concrete about the size of a softball out of the bed of a truck and broke my hand with it - was lucky it only hit my hand

My dad was driving through a not so nice neighborhood in BR and had this happen to him, with the concrete hitting the headrest of the passenger seat. Luckily no one was sitting there but it's just insane that people do this.

That entire area is govt. housing, not surprising at all that was the location.
