If you're in a rural or semi rural area. wildfire season causes abut the same amount of angst hurricane season causes in Louisiana. If there's a drought, it makes everything tinder dry. If it's wetter than usual, it makes the vegetation grow faster, which means more fuel when it dries out, which it always does eventually.

I think it's relevant. And depending on your employment, could be integral to happiness.

People in Denver can really suck. Become extremely congested too.

Live the rest of the state though.

Amazing state. Stay in Castle Rock or Springs if you need access to Denver. Beautiful country with tons of things to do.

Ignore the politics, invest in a snowblower and 4x4, enjoy.

The snow started before halloween and wont really end until memorial day. The winter is, exceptionally long.

Housing is expensive and its full of liberals.

Yeah saying you wouldn't move from Louisiana to Colorado because of politics is like saying you wouldn't go from a fleshlight to Sydney Sweeney because her elbows are weird

I can't imagine moving from somewhere so water-centric as Louisiana to somewhere so dry as Colorado. I love visiting the desert and all, I just don't think I could stay in it - or even a place as dry as a mediterranean climate like California or Italy or Greece. If I see dirt, I want to see something try to be growing out of it, I don't care if it's a mold or what, something.

I just visited for work earlier this year.

Fuggin snow everywhere.
Very dry air (had nosebleeds for a week)
Brought Covid home with me. Never knowingly had Covid in Louisiana.

A good friend ended his career and retired in Colorado. He is a conservative republican. He lives in Colorado Springs and loves it. He’s happy that he retired there. He hunts, shoots lots of sporting clays and is learning to fly fish.

Pot is legalized and, while beautiful, everywhere you go is some piece of trash lighting up making it smell like a skunk.
