Easier to keep cash in your pocket for Jordan's when you save on normal expenses with EBT

I worked at Foot Locker across from the Chimes outside the LSU gates during college in the late 90s and you're not wrong. LOTS of poors would be out front on the release date. Also, LOTS of lay-away "sales".

Not surprisingly, plenty of the customers and their money smelled like marijuana.

Can't believe this is still a thing.

Stupid people spend money on stupid things. Hence why casinos are built near the projects

When your rent, internet, cell phone, tablet, food are paid for by others you have much more disposable income to spend on other things

The people waiting in line to buy J’s aren’t typically the most financially savvy

Those are essentials though. Just like driving expensive automobiles and having to park them halfway through the term of the lease.

There is no poverty in America. In 30 years of law enforcement, I never went into the shittiest apartment or residence in the shadiest parts of the county that there wasn't a color TV and everyone had cell phones. In 95% of those instances, they had AC.

Imagine you didn’t care where you lived, dont pay insurance (even if illegal), don’t pay for any extra curriculars for the kids, etc.

You could be in that line getting a couple pairs brah.

People are struggling from poor decisions and excessive debt.

America has a spending problem primarily centered around “look at me” culture.

Everyone should be forced to work at a retail store for a Jordan launch. It’s a good look at a much different culture.
