That place closed down, I think that restaurant was next to the current Rikenjacks. There is a new Italian place downtown called The Villa on Pujo Street

It has a loop. Get on it and stay near the casinos.
There's some good restaurants near the downtown area. Don't go north of I10 or east of say common street at any costs.
ETA and get a Darrel's sandwich. frick the haters.

Well for starts we had a former sheriff whose son was a known drug dealer and is widely considered to have had 3 people executed in the cooler of a convenience store and had someone killed in jail.

Nah. Played a 4 man scramble there and remember it being a pretty unremarkable course.
OP, as others said...LC ain't that bad. All the good restaurants have been mentioned already. To add to the list though, new wine bar called Bodega just opened and is good, also don't think I saw Calla mentioned and that place is top notch.
Just be warned, Lake Charles pretty much shuts down on Sunday. Hard to find anything open.
