re: Tell me about Church of the King

The Bible tells you to get involved in church. It doesn’t say attend. It doesn’t say feel good about going twice a year. It doesn’t even say being a good person is the end goal. It doesn’t say be happy either. But it does say get involved in church.

I have lots of family and friends who are involved in several different christian churches. They all have their warts. For me, I am a coverted Catholic. My wife is a cradle catholic. When I was studying for my RCIA I realized there is only one christian church that goes back anywhere close to Jesus and that is the Catholic Church. The first Pope of the Catholic Church was Peter of the 12 Disciples.

As for other churches, most are fairly strict in their doctrine that define them but these fly by night organizations are just going to put out there whatever will get people in the door and donating to the collection plate. The old saying goes "If you dont stand for something then you will stand for anything." That pretty much holds true for religion, morals, and politics.

It may not be about my entertainment, but it should be about my enrichment.

Anywho, my OP was asking if anyone has attended this particular church and how it goes there. It seems like a pretty large congregation, and OTers are everywhere, so it seemed reasonable that a few posters might attend or have atteneded in the past.

I wasn't looking for three pages on what religion is best or why or why not people should go to a church. So congrats to most of you for totally missing the point.

Being the first church doesn’t erase the non-biblical man made views that ruined the church and led thousands of people to leave the Catholic Church. Most Catholics don’t care about Jesus or anything scripture related but just want you to know they are Catholic as if it’s race of people instead of a cult.
