That area near Purvis looks interesting.

Severe threat confirming, storms in the line down south look very healthy.

Reddit wants Abbott to resign every day so that is not overly newsworthy.
I haven’t heard about any outages other than specific lines being down and internet.

Yep. That bowing segment near Hattiesburg may prove problematic.

The only thing I will say on this matter is that too many people have no clue who they should be angry with regarding localized outages like this. Poorly informed bitching is useless, and that is what we are seeing with this storm.

Y'all are about to get some residual from the storm that just hit us. We were -9 this morning when I went to the gym after 8" of snow.

Some embedded rotation South of Meridian as well.

Central TX, Freezing rain started around 4AM and changed to sleet around 9-10AM. Still sleeting steadily.
No power outtage yet...but I'm expecting it. No big branches down but lots of smaller ones now.

More unstable than I expected.
And I saw someone on twitter go to grab this sounding while reviewing some 4/27/11 soundings. Was looking at the wrong tab and scared the shite out of himself.

I’ve got probably 2.5 inches of sleep. Pretty impressive.
Haven’t lost power. Enjoying the ‘work from home’ day.

Silly question, but what kind of pillow are you using?

Planes are now departing from DFW in the past few minutes. And one arrived from New Orleans a few minutes ago. Good sign for air travelers.

We have a crap load of sleet but not much frozen rain in our area of Little Rock, west LR. The kids have been sledding this morning and it’s steady sleeting with the weather forecasters calling for it to transition to snow late afternoon/evening. Thankful we had more sleet than freezing rain, our lines are underground so just praying the power stays on around here—which it should. Enjoying the fire while the baby naps and the kids are out freezing their butts off. No thank you!
