I never thought she should get in trouble at all. If i tell someone to kill themselves and they do, it is not my fault at all. That person choose to kill themselves

Everyone understands freedom of expression but at some point common sense has to matter. You cant, at least shouldnt be able to, encourage suicide so blatantly. Influence matters in other crimes so why shouldnt it here.
If this doesnt count then Dr Kevorkian shouldnt be legally responsible for what he did.
Drug dealers shouldnt be responsible because some junkie ods on drugs bought from him or her (i actually dont agree with this one)
Accomplices in murders they truthfully didnt know nor suspect one was gonna happen shouldnt be responsible just because one psycho decided to kill somebody.
All of them are crimes somewhere and all ended up with someone dead. They are all responsible one way or the other. Enough that it should matter anyway.

She’s sick no doubt....but she did not kill him.

He made the conscious choice to do so.

What if it's a sick fricking monster convincing a mentally unstable sicko to commit a terrorist act in the name if religion?

I feel like there has to be some level of common sense as another person said - someone can't just take advantage of someone else in a bad mental state and not have any criminal blame cause they just used words

I agree with this, but you never know what someone will do if they are suffering from depression. IMO, she had a responsibility to get him help or take appropriate action to make sure those who could get him help could do so.

Then again, we are talking about teenagers. Teenagers make some really dumb decisions. I wouldn't want to be defined by who I was as a teenager.

You would think that her having to live with that would be enough punishment, but at the same time, if she was able to convince him to kill himself, she my be a psychopath.. Not having a conscience.

If I tell someone to rob a bank and they rob a bank, should I be guilty as an accomplice?

If you had read the text messages, you would think she needs to be locked up.

Imagine your first hard crush telling you the shite she told this boy. She definitely bears responsibility
