Frankly the mom sounds like a jerk and a count. She feels entitled to all the special treatment and more- and knows how to throw a fit to get it.
I feel bad for the kid and the dog.

I love dogs and have no problems with service dogs for people that legit need them.
But in this situation I'm team Santa all the way. There was a designated day for people with pets.

You couldn’t be more wrong. My daughter was wheel chair bound and had seizures. I say was cause she passed away at 15. Her service dog helped her do things like turn on lights and open doors. Also detected seizures. The Americans with Disablities act is a law that says the service dog is equal to a person and by law cannot be denied entry. But I assume all you OT ballers would never have kids with health issues, so the attitude makes sense.

They just asked the dog to sit like 15 feet away. Is that so much to ask?

Based on your past experiences then, you should know the difference between a legit service dog that performs medical functions versus a dog, monkey, pig that merely "helps with anxiety". One undergoes months or years of training and cost in the tens of thousands and the other is just a pet.
For ever legit service animal there's 1,000 "anxiety animals".

You can get a service dog need certificate on line for $50. People then fly their "service dog" for free instead of paying for the dog. It is such bs that the airlines will eventually take action.

Santa until Service Dogs are actually regulated.

“Support animals” and “service animals” are not the same thing. A service animal is highly trained to provide a very specific function or set of functions for someone with a direct stability or medical condition. ADA provides that service animals must be given access. They are basically treated as an extension of their human.
A support animal, on the other hand, is a glorified pet. These are the ones people should have gripes about. There is no certification or official training for a support animal. It’s basically getting your doctor to write you a letter saying you need the animal because it provides emotional support to you. And it is mostly a scam. Service animals are not a scam. They are legitimate assistants which allow their human owners to function more independently.

Team Santa, bitch.
If he has legitimate allergies, especially, it seems that his right to protect his own health supersedes the use of a service dog. I think that interpretation of the ADA has to be at least a little twisted.

You forgot a side FYI, Team Lawyer, I think they will wind up being the real winners in all of this.
This women raised $25,000 for her daughter who has autism. I personally did not know service dogs cost that much, might be a business worth looking into haha. But currently in law school and at $25k a clip that is crazy money.
I have had a brother with autism my entire life.....we have had 3 labs (currently a yellow lab), a golden retriever and multiple bulldogs. All except the bulldogs were adopted from shelters, they did pretty well with my brother....

Just read the entire article this woman is a nut job and sounds like c*nt.
Then the company decides to foot the bill to have a special Santa come to the Twiggs, which is not a normal experience...

Basically what she is saying is "Once I have spoken with an attorney I will get back with you in a week." At that point she will have calmed down but the pain and suffering of not letting Romeo on the red carpet was too much and all this can go away when the Special Santa comes to the Twiggs bringing gifts in the form of settlement checks.

Twigg said she was told by Santa she could bring Olivia back on “Caring Santa Day,” an event designed for children with special needs. “I don’t want to take her to Caring Santa. I want her to have a normal experience,” said Twigg.

Because the term "service dog" is used as a blanket catch-all for emotional support animals, therapy dogs and actual trained dogs that perform leaned, specified tasks for the owner.
ETA: honestly, it doesn't matter if the dog was a true service animal or not. Bottom line, the man playing Santa had a diagnosed allergy to dogs but mommy has to have her way. Her precious little angel is more important than anyone or anything.

the attitude makes sense.
Which attitude?
The attitude about not liking a society that takes advantage of every fricking thing?
Or the attitude about not liking all you need a cookie victim mother frickers?
Or the attitude about not liking inconsiderate, selfish mother frickers that will use any advantage to get their way, regardless as to how it effects other?
You can't understand why the board has a Team Santa vibe?
If so, frick you (w/ tears) and frick the mom.
TEAM SANTA AND PEANUT BOY'S FAMILY.

Everyone has problems, dude. Best not to trivialize what you don't understand.

If you are mentally retarded, as shown by that type of logic, I apologize about the victim cookie shite.
