"Why don't teachers make more money?!"
'Because they take off 2 1/2 months of work every year.'

They should get 100% of their pay during working hours and not spread out over the summer when they are not working at the school.

I don't have a problem with them getting paid over the summer. Just don't complain about not making more when you could work.

If I took 2.5 months off a year, my income would take a major fricking hit.

I think they can usually opt to be paid either way, 12 months or 9 months.

How did schools in LP and EBR finish the school year on time after the flood?
I know my nephew had his days extended 6 minutes to make up for time his school was closed but I also heard some schools in LP were sharing a school. One school would go early and the other late...the days had to be shorter. Just wondering if anyone knows how they got around this

You sure?
I had no idea. I guess that's what those thousands and thousands of Facebook posts were about.
