My wife (no pics) went to some training a few years ago that said every teacher should stand outside their door for every class and shake the hand of every kid that walks inside. Every day. Shows professionalism and sets expectations.

You realize there are like 5 minutes between classes for kids to switch classes, right?
That's when this happens. Not during class time.
I would say 99 percent of kids don't open their books and start learning something until the teacher starts class and tells them to do so.

Let's all ignore the vast failures of our educational system because some teacher had a viral video scheme. Basically just a school house attention whore.
