I think Taylor can't really be to blame. She was given a picture painted by a fan. She posted it on Social Media, it's not like she made it the album cover or even a booklet picture. This was a share on a site that probably posts five things a day minimum. It was just a facebook/IG post.
I don't know how much compensation the artist wants, but "four figures" sounded more than fair, and yes I think Taylor would take a payment from Spotify and do the same, because then it's a tax write off. (speaking of if she had to donate the payment) I mean it was one post, and it was deleted after the artist claimed it.

Yep. Either side could be lying, but it makes total sense that Ally might be avoiding a real resolution as a way to drag it out and gain publicity and more money.

No, they offered 4 figures. The post was up on Facebook for a short amount of time. As others have said, it's not like it was her album cover.
I actually don't blame anyone on this. Swift probably had no idea the middle girl ripped off the painting, but did the right thing to remove it when it was brought to her attention. The artist is doing the smart thing for her business by drawing this out as long as possible. She will gain in the long term, and this will be a small bump on the road of the Swift steamroller.

I don't see Taylor donating all her album sales to charity. This is bullshite. She needs to pay the lady a few grand and move on.
