Just took a ride down Kraft Rd. Fine now and no signs of any flooding.

Just got home, here is the status. Water in parts of PHS. 2 feet in People"s store at brown Rd. Most homes between dunson and brown have water. I would imagine everything down Brown and Teel Rd is flooded. Went to manchac. Water is rising fast flowing through the swamp. We actually stopped the freight train just south of the swamp walk. We waded through water to check it out as the train was creeping along. Guy was leaning out window looking at the track and we saw water starting to wash out under the tracks. By the time he stopped and walked back to us, he told us water was whirlpooling on both sides of the track by the engine.

Update: it's looks like the rise has ended but that could be deceiving. The have moved the road block from Brown Rd and it is now blocked at Ponchatoula High.

Is there a risk of 55 being shutdown before the bridge? Gonna have to take 55 to new Orleans and come up the causeway to get to work in Mandeville tmrw.

12 still closed, I'm guessing?

What about 55 north of 12?

Thank you, burgeman. My mom is with us in Albany and her apartment with her medicine is there. Now we need to figure out how to get to Hammond.

Bedico creek has been rising steadily to the levels in March. May make 22 impassable but that is still TBD.

He's dry. Earl G, at the end of Coleman Rd. You may know him.

He's got a few families with him.

You can also take i55 north to Amite. Then take hwy 16 to hwy 450 towards Folsom. Then turn right on hwy 25. That turns into hwy 190 and will get you to Mandeville. Probably way less traffic this route.
