Another friend of mine that lives near that part of Ponchy evacuated yesterday at 3. He thinks he's underwater for sure.

Good luck. The water has gone down a little over there last I heard, which was about an hour ago.

What waterway is causing the flooding in Robert?

As for the op's question, it seems the March flood was at it maximum east of the current focus of problems. Covington was worse in March than now.

tangi river

Yep.
They're telling it beginning to recede, but it'll be Wednesday before you can really start moving around like normal again. Gonna take a couple days for roads to completely open.

The post office in Robert got water, which is kind of a big deal because of how high their slab is. It's never flooded like this there. March, or in '83.

I'm five minutes from Robert and I can launch on 190 if anyone there needs help. We are high and dry still on south Coburn/old Covington

Does it look like it's starting to go down?
Have you gone and looked this morning?

Not to the dollar store except maybe in a low area in the woods. Water is cover the football field. In the field house, rotc building and covering the parking lot and in the gym.

old Covington is under water at the curve at the ag station
190 is clear between airport rd and range but closed in bothe directions east and west of those spots
piggly wiggly on 190 is open
Everything on airport rd (gas/food/etc) is open

I ran in to some deputies at the chevron they said they are good on boats in ponchy. If anyone has heard they need help in robert or east of Hammond pls post up

190 is closed East of Airport Road? That sign was on the side of the road yesterday...people were still traveling on 190 east until about Hammond High.
