You’re too fricking brainwashed and ignorant to understand that MOST good people will stop what they’re doing and follow instructions of a police officer. It really isn’t that hard.

It’s a win win situation for you. If you’re doing nothing wrong and you follow instructions, you can run it up whatever flagpole you choose after the incident (you know, one of those juicy lawsuits your people love to file).

If you ARE indeed doing something wrong, and you follow instructions, at worst you’ll get arrested and you can let the shite play out in court as opposed to getting mowed down like Bonnie and Clyde

I fully understand that the expectation is to immediately bow down to the power of the state....because the state can not be wrong. The government can't possibly be in the wrong when it comes to policing....they can't fix a pothole, they can't educate kids, but they can damn sure police the people without ever making a mistake LOL. It is amazing how many of y'all are simply terrified of the state and claim you would bow down to any demand the state made of you without a thought in the world and you would do so because it is the thing a good, upstanding citizen would do....

So the cops did a good thing killing this POS. He was carrying a fricking gun for fricks sake LOL....can't have that, its against the law. Its amazing they show any constraint at all when people have guns in public...they are really doing us a disfavor by not shooting anyone immediately who shows up in public with a gun. Y'all can't have it both ways, either you have to comply or die or you can bear a firearm....

Well, it actually is against the law to open carry in the state of Florida.

Everyone who lives in the state knows that.

So the only two options when the cops find someone carrying a rifle down the road is to A) tell them to drop it and when they don't shoot them or B) completely ignore them and watch as the walk down the road to a school and start shooting? There is no other options....like maybe telling him more than once to drop it? Maybe waiting until he makes some sort of threatening move with it? Nothing like that huh, just drop it or get shot or do nothing and wait until he as arrived at a school. What about a church? A shopping center? The need to have a daddy is soooooo strong in so many Americans....damn its sad......the government can not make a mistake when it comes to policing. I get it......

There are at least 24 occupations in the United States that are more dangerous than being a cop. If you remove the number of injuries and deaths they suffer from engaging in idiotic activity like high speed chases and stopping in the middle of the fricking interstate in inclement weather because some arch criminal failed to use a turning signal that number would be almost 75 occupations more dangerous. It is simply a lie....its hard work for certain....it is not nearly as dangerous as landscaping or most construction jobs....not even close.

Not exactly sure what the whole issue is here.

We have a “supposedly” mentally unstable individual, who is no longer an active member of the military mind you, walking around in body armor and head gear with a loaded rifle.

He then refuses to relinquish said rifle, which carrying of the rifle in the open like this is against the law in Florida.

The unfortunate outcome is he was shot.

Pretty much all of the actions and the end game are placed at the feet of the vet.

Where is the complicating factor?

Well there you go. Only sad thing about the story then is the cops now have to live with having killed someone....they moron that got shot got exactly what he deserved and there ain't no question. Should happen to more people carrying guns in public....

It really is not complicated...as a citizen we must comply or die.....the state is all powerful and can't make a mistake.

Whether the shooting was justified needs to be determined. However, it is illegal to open carry in FL whether you agree or disagree and he doesn’t get killed if he doesn’t break that simple law. You are so jaded you want to act like all these things are mutually exclusive

Deserved has nothing to do with it.

It is the result of the very poor choices he made.

If they are open carrying in Florida, where that isn’t legal, they increase the odds that they will be shot.

Concealed carry is completely legal. You don’t need a permit in FL either.

Sure, the state makes a multitude of mistakes all the time.

The only individual who actively made mistakes here though, at almost every turn, was the man who was shot.

He is as emotional as a teenage woman.

The logical and rational stance is that the guy made extremely poor choices and this was the outcome.

This might be the one case a decade where this is accurate, as opposed to describing a generic plate carrier or "tactical vest" as body armor or a "bulletproof" vest.
