How can they hear what you're saying? The ears still function? How convenient. Nothing else is functioning.

Dr. Parnia is concentrated on research surrounding the concept of consciousness after death that has clearly introduced a bias resulting in him using an antiquated definition of death.
Dr. Yellerhammer5 is an actual real life trained, accredited, and certified medical doctor that uses the up to date definition of death widely accepted by the medical field.
But by all means, be sure to purchase his books when you exit through the gift shop.

If you haven’t heard, Darth is our resident Frankenstein, dude has been officially pronounced dead but is somehow still here with us.

Ears need very little energy to operate. The brain still works.
Just think about cellular life. It doesn't drain out all at once the second heart stops.

Wrong. I never said they "officially declared" me dead. What did happen (and you already know this but choose to lie instead) was my heart stopped. I flat lined. No heart beat, no breathing, nothing. I basically bled to death internally as a result of my Coumadin dosage being far too high' causing me to bleed from the sutures in my heart following open heart surgery. They revivied me, stopped my bleeding, and I'm still here.
Why do you want to lie about me? Didn't your momma teach you it's not good to be a liar?

When I was put under I don't remember a damn thing. Apparently I Had amnesia from about 10 minutes before they even put the stuff in the IV.
I remember every second up until I fell asleep when they put my neck back together. I was crying and scared. The next 12 hours after I don't remember, a lot of people came by I guess and my family said I was in a lot of pain, but I cant recall any of that part. 12 hours later I came to throwing up blood, and that is a memory I'll never forget.

Well the ear is essentially a simple mechanical device. Unless physically disrupted yes the ear would still function. Whether or not the nerves associated with converting the physical tympanic membrane deflections into biochemical/electrical impulses are capable of doing so is in question.
Essentially the electrical impulses that transmit sensation and thoughts are created by many sequential cation/anion movements. As long as the ionically chraged particles are present in the correct concentrations in the correct positions, nerve impulse should still be capable.
See the dead frog heart in saline solution experiments.

That's awfully good English for a zombie, Darth.

Cellular life won't last long without oxygen and glucose. With no circulation where does the glucose come from and for three days?
A blockage of a few minutes can kill brain cells.
