Pretty sure common people refer to Pakistan as a middle eastern nation though. Geography wise you're right but they're not asian by any means.

Its SW Asia, by common you mean people who are not educated b/c Pakistan is not in the middle east.

These guys are so full of shite acting like they are protecting villages that they rule with an iron fist and terrorize.

Re read what I wrote.

Csb that you work with Pakis, pretty sure most people have interacted with them. They're completely different from neighboring India.

They border fricken Iran and Afghan - They're as middle east culture wise as you can get.

I actually had this very conversation with the group I worked with, and yes, they do in fact consider themselves Asians. Obviously, Asian is a very inclusive term, but Pakistanis still fit in that category.

Their language (Urdu) resembles more of an Asian influence than Arabic, but whatever, it's a mute point

Yes, when I flew into Karachi the Pakis who met me asked first thing if it was my first visit to Asia. They are not fond of the Afghans or Iranians or other arab nations BTW. Most of them have their family roots in India before the partition.

It is extremely similar to Hindi, one of the predominant languages of India. In fact, Hindi language Bollywood films are very popular in Pakistan.

The middle east is not a continent. what continent do you think they are a part of? Europe? Africa?

saudi Arabia, iran, iraq, afghanistan...hell, even turkey is considered asia.

You are dumb, uncultured or just clueless. Afghan isn't the middle east as well totally different language and culture. Iran is so much different from other Middle Eastern countries as well. Different language and different culture. All any of these countries share is religion and that they don't even agree on.

day two off attacks

quote:

For the second time in two days, Pakistan's largest and busiest airport was forced to shut down after militants launched a brazen attack on airport security forces.
Tuesday's assault targeted the Airport Security Forces camp near Karachi's Jinnah International Airport, the airport's manager told CNN's Saima Mohsin.
It was not immediately clear how the militants were carrying out their attack or how many casualties may have resulted. At least 30 ambulances rushed to the scene, Mohsin said.
Once again, the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility.
"This wave of attacks will be continuing in retaliation for the shelling and atrocities of the government," spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said by phone from an undisclosed location.

I don't know. some of the pashtuns in east afghanistan I think are very similar to some of the pakis in some parts of west pakistan where the countries border at.

dont be surprised if some of these guys know three of four languages. urdu, pashto, dari, etc.
