We live in a rural area of southwest LA. Wife went to the Market Basket 15 miles away to pick up some snacks for our daughter and something to make for dinner. Place was a madhouse. She said this tatted up white trash queen tried to grab a six pack of Powerade out of her buggy. Trash said you saw me walking this way. Wife said I don’t care. Trash realized the Powerade was sugar free and let it go saying I don’t drink any of that sugar free shite anyway. Wife ends up in the checkout line next to aforementioned trash lady and of course she whips out the Louisiana purchase card. Wife said that was the biggest “no shite” moment of the day.

Post your tales of panic buying trash for all to enjoy. Nothing else to do.

Tell her to go to Rouses! A little less riff raff. And they’ve stayed a little better stocked this week than any other store I’ve been in.

Wasn’t expecting it to be that bad. Even during hurricanes this store normally doesn’t get overwhelmed like this because it’s in such a small town.

Went to Costco yesterday for some routine items. Wife and I eat the healthy, organic stuff so there was plenty of our regular items available

I grabbed a bag of frozen broccoli. It’s a 4 lb bag. A woman rushed past me and loaded her cart with 6 bags. 24 pounds of broccoli. Maybe she had a large family. I don’t know. It was just incredibly selfish.

Looking at people’s carts, Convid-19 will stand for the 19 pounds people will gain will in quarantine.

Amazing how the fresh produce and even some of the frozen vegetables are available while all the frozen trash meals are stripped bare. Had an old guy in a scooter nearly run me down while I was trying to grab some frozen spinach for a recipe. He had a beeline on some kind of frozen TV dinner that had eluded the earlier hordes.

I’m doing keto and the fresh meat section was almost wiped out. Lots of salad fixings still available though

We went to SAMs last night and there wasn’t a single package of fresh meat left in any cooler. It was actually pretty bizarre to see. No bread, milk, tp, paper towels, hand sanitizer. I spent two hours yesterday morning going to 7 different stores looking for Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer to give to my staff to use while in the field.
The only place that had wipes was Office Depot. None had hand sanitizer. One of my staff members found a few tiny bottles at a Dollar Store in Longville, and they were $3 a piece

No toilet paper anywhere around here. I don’t know why people are hoarding toilet paper. It’s stupid, Wuhan is not cholera.

I went to Albertsons on government today, the lady checking out in front of me had her buggy loaded down with toilet paper. I wanted to ask her if she's expecting to get diarrhea from the coronavirus.

I went to the hardware instead and loaded up on bullets. Going to just take all their tp and sugar drinks when times get rough.

I went on our grocery trip a little early this week, made it a little bigger, and focused it toward items that won’t spoil quickly.

Saw a lady with more than a dozen giant bottles of Clorox bleach and only that.

Went to the store this morning on my normal routine. Would you believe all the vegetables were still on the shelves/freezer section? Damndest thing, really.
