It sounds like you should probably start referring to this gentleman as your mom’s new husband instead of as your stepdad.

Have you considered kicking your step dad in the nuts and making him give them back?

So if your father still has his online account in tact, just have him transfer the tickets out online to you. Then your stepdads paper tickets will be invalidated.
Basically what this sounds like is a ticket office student worker gave your dads paper tickets away because of the same name.

My mom remarried years ago, and my dad and my stepdad have the same first name.
My dad has been a long-time supporter with season tickets.
Somehow, my stepdad used the name overlap to trick the ticket office into releasing my dad’s account/tickets to him.
If they had checked the account details — address, phone number, even the stored credit card — it was obviously my dad’s, not his.
But instead, they handed everything over, and now my dad has lost the seats he’s paid into for decades.
Has anyone dealt with something like this? What recourse do you even have when LSU lets someone hijack your account because of a name mix-up & then tell you it’s up to you to get attorneys to fix it?!
Damn...that sucks.
I mean, that's theft...no?
frick calling an attorney - call the police.

Have you tried fricking his wife?

You should always have a guy. Plumber, HVAC guy, jewelry guy, and a problem solving guy who may or may not be an attorney. If they have good crabbing spot down the bayou that may be all you need.

TAF made a mistake, that they have somewhat admitted to, and have apologized but said we have to hire attorneys and go through litigation to fix their mistake when it’s quite a cut & dry issue.
Not a problem. They can pay my legal fees and punitive damages as well.

You need to man up and go beat his arse.
Why would you (or your Dad) just let that happen?
Sound like fraud or theft to me. Have you talked to the DA in your area?

So the card was charged? I bet TAF figures out how to get your tickets to you vs not being paid. But then they probably dgaf and will void them and re sell them to someone else for 20% more.

Another thing I just thought about. Could this have been on accident with the names being the same?
Stepdad calls or goes to ticket office to pay for his seats. Gives the kid his name and they pull up the wrong account and apply the payment there.
Meaning your stepdads actual tickets went unpaid.
This seems more likely since your dad’s account information is still intact. If stepdad was truly trying to take over he would have changed email and addresses to lock dad out.

Have you considered killing your step father? I mean, he's not even your real dad.

Well, you are from Kenner, so I’m not surprised you’re into fricking your mother.
Weirdo, brah.

Your step-dad has the same last name? Would think they would question sending the tickets to someone with a different last name.

Without giving too much info, the names are the same. That was the only thing that matched on the account.
If they would’ve checked ID they would’ve seen this was the wrong person- nothing else would’ve matched

We have things in the works. Just seeing if anyone else has had a similar experience and seeking advice on how theirs played out.

Have you or your dad tried slapping the frick out of your mom's husband? Start there
