How hard is it to keep politics out of the workplace?
Seriously?
I don't talk politics at work.
I'm a staunch Conservative.
The lesbian girl at work was talking to me about her neighbors, mentioned they are "White trash as evidence by Trump sign in yard".
She's worked with me over a year. Office adjacent to mine.
But, I never mention politics.
Point being just keep it out of workplace. Ppl shouldn't know affiliations.

So many idiots in the replies that don’t understand the first amendment doesn’t apply to private employment. Denzel was intentionally stirring the pot hoping he’d get fired so he can try to get paid. Manager clearly told him company policy was masks had to be plain color and he didn’t care

I was raised this way. Politics, sex, money, and religion is private information. But now it's like if you don't talk about those things, you're seen as strange.
I agree with just shutting the frick up at work, it's a pointless discussion - either you agree with each other and there's no need to continue talking OR you disagree with each other, sew the seeds of hatred (because hating the other side is cool), and there's no need to continue talking

I was working at Martin Marietta years ago in an engineering group. Some of us young guys (at the time) were talking about WW2, and one mentioned Hitler. A 50 something guy about ten feet away (who actually looked like Adolf without the mustache) blurted out, “Hitler didn’t finish the job!” The silence that descended on our little group was one of the funniest moments of my life.
