Yep. So much overreaction right now. It’s stupid.

If Baton Rouge had any appeal, you would be cancelled as well...

No shite it's a big thing for Austin's economy. You think they made this decision lightly?

Also, what does Houston not doing anything to limit potential outbreaks have to do with Austin deciding it's not worth money to risk infecting the frick out of their city?

Or, it could mean that Austin is run by ninny-babies who are overreacting for no good reason.

That's the difference. I don't sandbag my house for a summer rainshower.

One of the local channels is currently interviewing waiters, etc. to do a report on this.

Sorry, really sorry. The flu kills more. The sensationalist press at its best yet once again. Can only hope the Jazz Fest sponsors are not as gullible.

Having large communal festivals and conferences is a good way to make sure it beats that flu number

Fine with me. Don't want all those gays and California Commies congregating in my state anyway.

This is going to impact working class people. Not the "California Commies". Working people in Texas who survive off of the money they make from the tourists. Restaurants, hotels, bars, food trucks, cafes, shops.

Bartenders, waiters, basically anyone who works for tips can make bank during South by.

Try to have some compassion for working class people.
