Most of the hunters I know still get the shakes when eyeing up a trophy buck through a scope... It's an adrenaline rush that I would guess compares slightly to what this (trained) officer was feeling
Imagine trying to keep your concentration all while a spider crawling on your neck and a yellow jacket buzzing around your ear.

Did you really just compare shooting a deer to shooting a man who's trying to shoot you back? Please tell me you aren't serious.
If you've ever shot at a large trophy animal, you get the shakes, probably just like shooting at a person.

Well you'd probably be more prepared if you've shot deer vs. nothing at all.

if you've never been deer hunting you will not understand...
There is a definite severe adrenaline rush when you are looking through a scope at a buck... shite, my dad has killed tons of deer in his life and he STILL gets the shakes...
Now please explain to me how that adrenaline rush is any different than one a trained, well prepared sniper feels

Especially those big arse banana spiders you run across in the woods in Louisiana.

I hate the beginning of hunting season just because of this

your dad sounds like a beast tbh

No one knows how difficult a shot it was. How long he had to sight the target and how much of the target was visible has a lot to do with degree of difficulty

I see a lot of down votes in this thread.
Which leads me to believe that the posters who know their shite got down voted but nobody believes them for some dumb reason

Gotta walk through the woods with a stick in front of you to stop it

Please stop. Your speculation about things you don't know is disrespectful. The suspect fully engaged the officer at the time fire was returned. It was returned from a somewhat exposed position and done so in a very quick manner after jumping from a moving vehicle. I trust you will all come out and apologize when all facts are released.

Hard to do when you're heading out on a four wheeler before daybreak
Even working on the stands and food plots sucks before the season... I used to make my dad check my back everytime we got to our destination.... Got caught once with a banana spider on the side of my neck thinking it was my collar.... NOPE, never again
