quote:

When a friend says, “I’ll hit you up later dog,” he is stating that he will call again sometime. He is not calling the person a “later dog.” But that’s not how the courts in Louisiana see it. And when a suspect in an interrogation told detectives to “just give me a lawyer dog,” the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled that the suspect was, in fact, asking for a “lawyer dog,” and not invoking his constitutional right to counsel.

Also, he's a child rapist,so it really doesn't bother me that he's going to jail.

You'd think he would've learned from the first guy.

Perfect irony is him jumping bail only to be collared by Dog, the bounty hunter.

That's one dog I wouldn't get upset about if the police shot it.

Article is complete misrepresentation of the facts.

It was obvious the man didn’t want a dog lawyer.

The case was whether he specifically requested a lawyer and was not provided one. Which he didn’t.

Read the actual case from the Louisiana Supreme Court...not what a journalist tells you it says. Because it's obvious the journalist didn't even bother to read the opinion.

This is what the opinion says:

quote:

In my view, the defendant’s ambiguous and equivocal reference to a ‘lawyer dog’ does not constitute an invocation of counsel,”

He said it was ambiguous because he used the term "lawyer dog"

I don't know which lawyer ad is more cringeworthy:

this

Or Juan Lafonta's comic book style billboard by the Superdome.
