I get it. I ask that you focus on "forever". There was no malice behind my comment.

So a living paralyzed man was willing to take the chance of having his head cut off and put on the body of a another person? Did I read that right?

In 2015, Canavaro announced he wanted to transplant the head of a paralyzed man, Valery Spiridonov, onto the body of a dead donor.

wouldn't this be more of a "body transplant?"

You could theoretically do this every 20 years or so and live forever!

Imagine the game an 80 year old head on a 20 year old body will get.

If we look at the base of a brain which has just been removed from the skull, there's very little of the midbrain that we could actually see. Yet, as I demonstrated in my lecture last week, if the under aspects of the temporal lobes are gently pulled apart, the upper portion of the stem of the brain can be seen. This so-called brainstem consists of the midbrain, a rounded protrusion called the pons, and a stalk tapering downwards called the medulla oblongada, which passes out of the skull through the foramen magnum, and becomes of course the spinal cord. Are there any questions before we proceed?

Sounds like BS

But if it happens, can you pick your body? I wouldn't want to be a fatty.

Does it really matter? It's not as if he can fight them off when they come to take him to surgery, is it?
