Making the federal government even more powerful that States is not a win.
I guess I should have said it paints government in a corner.
It does not give the Fed more power than the State.
It basically just says that States have to make laws in a neutral way in this instance.

Private firefighting units or ambulances, can they refuse to service people who’s beliefs they don’t agree with?

What about doctors? Grocery store owners? Restaurants?

If only there was a time in our recent history where certain minority groups were refused access to private businesses based on the beliefs of the private business owners, and we could see if that system worked.

I believe they did say that. In regards to religion. It would seem they are saying one persons constitutional rights can't be sacrificed just so someone elses constitutional rights are protected.
So if you can defend your rights on a religious level then you should be fine.

As it should. Let the free market take care of it. Instead of trying to force someone to take your money, find someone that will happily take it.

We'll take the ruling. It's about time to cut out some of this nonsense.

So you'd also bake one advocating for pedophilia?

but it's not ok for Starbucks to tell 2 non paying customers they are not allowed to use their bathroom and ask them to buy something or leave?

Restaurants can and do refuse service to people for different reasons. All you have to do is look at that Judge that is now banned from Sammy's for the verbal altercation. They have banned him and refuse to serve him, which is the restaurant's right since it is a private business.

Not wanting to write a message on a cake that supports gay marriage is fine. However, if you’re s baker offering your services to the public and you’re refusing to bake a standard cake due to someone’s sexuality, you should move to some Muslim country where that is allowed and promoted.

Yes - a win for us non gays

Before agreeing to bake a cake for someone, the male baker strips naked in front of the customer (if it’s a male). If the customer gets a boner, then no cake.

I'm unaware of any baker offering services to the public at large. They offer services to individuals. If you are someone who the baker doesn't want to bake cakes for, there are plenty of bakers in town that will appreciate the business.
Unfortunately, this case (like many court cases) was simply a situation where some pressure group decided to set up a contrived scenario because they wanted to make a point. They didn't give two shits about the cake itself, which is why they sued instead of just finding another baker like a normal person would.

That’s great until your town’s businesses get bought up by a bunch of Muslims who wont serve anyone but Muslim men with beards.

In a 7-2 decision, the court said legal proceedings in Colorado showed a hostility to the baker's religious views.
Like agenda driven? Uh, yeah, just a wee bit agenda driven.

. Being able to say No to gays leans towards a breach of the customer's freedoms
Are you serious? A business has the right to do business with whomever it chooses! What puts the customers rights over the owners rights? This is a free country, the customer can go elsewhere. The owner misses out on that business. So so so simple. The gay should respect the owners beliefs and move on. THAT would be the reasonable thing to do rather than force someone to do something.....

I don't think it's the most important issue facing the country but the government forcing someone to conduct commerce against their wishes isn't exactly minor either.

Hey..if this ruling upsets gays and liberals, it has to be the correct one!
